&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Layoffs have been increasing over time&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The dominant reason for layoffs is cost-cutting&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;E-Commerce companies have laid off the most&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If the NASDAQ or S&amp;amp;P 500 fall, layoffs increase&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If the Dow Jones falls, layoffs fall !&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

Certainly hadn&amp;rsquo;t expected it till the end of the month. Obviously, since this is the first time they changed rates in-between policy meetings. The market was caught short too. Anyway, the NASDAQ has shot up. IT stocks in India are following.&lt;/p&gt;
